Art in Wilder Park set for May 2-3

Festival features more than 100 artists from across the Midwest

Art in Wilder Park returns to Wilder Park on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, bringing together artists, families, and art lovers for one of the region’s most anticipated cultural events of the spring.

Presented by the Elmhurst Art Museum, this free outdoor festival features more than 100 artists from across the Midwest showcasing original works in painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, and more.

Visitors can also enjoy free admission to the Elmhurst Art Museum to view the District 205 Student Art Show, a variety of local food vendors, and a Kids Court with hands-on art activities designed for young artists.

“Art in Wilder Park is one of the most joyful expressions of our mission,” said Allison Peters Quinn, executive director of the Elmhurst Art Museum.

“It brings artists and community together in a way that’s welcoming, inspiring, and accessible to all. We truly believe art is good for you—and this event is a chance for everyone to experience that for themselves.”

In addition to the artist booths, the event includes hands-on experiences that invite attendees to create their own art and connect with the community, making it a perfect outing for all ages. Proceeds from the festival help support the museum’s exhibitions, education programs, and community initiatives throughout the year.

As part of the weekend celebration, the museum will also highlight its annual Giving Week campaign, inviting visitors to support programs that make events like Art in Wilder Park possible.

During Giving Week, all donations of any amount will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000—doubling the impact of every gift.

All donations of $50 or more will receive an EAM exclusive “Art is good for you” canvas tote bag. Visit the Connection booth at Art in Wilder Park to redeem.
