Elmhurst Fire Department presents colors before York-Leyden football game

A three-man Elmhurst Fire Department Honor Guard was originally scheduled to present the colors prior to the varsity football game between York High School and Leyden Friday night, Sept. 11, at York in honor of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks 25 years ago. A fire actually kept some of the Elmhurst Fire Department Honor Guard from participating, but the department was able to send Lt. Andrew Scarlett (shown here) to present the colors.
