New refrigerated van expands Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry’s reach

Posted

A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Friday for a new refrigerated van that will give the Elmhurst Yorkfield Food Pantry more capacity to get fresh food from its doors to families throughout the community. The van, made possible through a substantial grant from the DuPage Foundation and a partnership with Holman—a global automotive services company—will allow the pantry to safely transport larger quantities of refrigerated and frozen food, expanding its ability to provide nutritious options to those in need.
