This foursome was among those who gathered on the grounds of the Elmhurst History Museum Saturday for the annual Elmhurst Craft Beer Fest to sample the many craft beers, ciders, seltzers and meads that over 50 brewers had to offer. Fest-goers also were treated to entertainment throughout the afternoon, which included a performance by the Elmhurst Harmonie—a German-American community choir formed in 2019 by the merger of the Elmhurst Maennerchor (founded in 1894) and the Elmhurst Damenchor (founded in 1936). The fest is hosted by the Elmhurst Heritage Foundation, the nonprofit fundraising arm for the Elmhurst History Museum. Since the Elmhurst Craft Beer Fest began 11 years ago, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised to support the exhibits and educational programs for the museum and at Churchville School House.
