Gale F. Smith, nee Hofmann, 83, of Villa Park, IL, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026.
Beloved mother of Scott Smith, Robin (John) Thompson, and Shannon Iozzo. Loving grandmother of Steven Martinez, Gina (Adam) Lechman, Robert (Katie) Smith, Nicole Riefke, Cody (Katherine) Thompson and Jessica Iozzo.
Adored great-grandmother of Jax Lechman, Ari Pacheco, Gide on Smith, Dominic Riefke, Gianna Lechman, Aurelia Smith, Anthony Riefke, Jasper Smith and Eva Thompson. Gale is also survived by her brother, Roy (Sandy) Hofmann.
A memorial service for Gale will be held at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, IL, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1 PM to 5 PM, Eulogy to be held at 3 PM.
