Sharon D. Roche, 74, of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away on August 7, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born on Nov. 6, 1951 in Chicago, Sharon spent her youth in Elmhurst. She graduated from York High School in 1969 and went on to earn a degree in Court Reporting from McCormick College.
For nearly 50 years, Sharon dedicated her professional life to a career as a Court Reporter and was known for speed, accuracy, and dedication. She was awarded a National Certification as a registered merit reporter.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by her sisters, Kathleen McLaughlin, Nancy (Steven) Seelig, and Julie Roche; her beloved nieces and nephew, Jessica (Will) Blount, Matthew (Stacey) Gordon, Katherine Gordon, and Erin (Corey Nachamkin) Gordon; grandnephews Owen, Baker, and Grady Blount; Jack and Daniel Gordon; Timothy and Cashel Blass; cherished cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Florence Roche (née Readdy.)
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026 at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois. A visitation will be held in the Fireside Room from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Interment at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
