York Township, in collaboration with the York Township Mental Health Board, has installed a new naloxone (Narcan) dispenser outside the York Township building, providing residents with free, around-the-clock access to this potentially life-saving medication. Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. By making it available in an easily accessible outdoor location, residents can obtain naloxone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost. The installation represents the shared commitment of the York Township Board and York Township Mental Health Board to providing resources that promote the health, safety, and well-being of the community. The new dispenser is located outside the York Township building, 1502 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents do not need to enter the building or visit during regular Township business hours to access the dispenser. This initiative is one more way York Township continues to identify practical resources that can make life safer and better for the people it serves. (Submitted photo)
